While Yarra Valley chardonnay, pinot noir and cabernet sauvignon are the hallmark varieties of Goodman Wines, I take great joy in evoking the sights, smells and tastes of Italy in my vermentino and negroamaro wines, using grapes grown in Heathcote, Victoria to add a little local flavour to these Italian classics.
The result is a range of wines designed to be shared.
To complement Goodman Wines, I also produce the Nikkal Wine range. Nikkal is the Phoenician goddess of fruits and harvest, thus these wines are a celebration of the fruitful generosity of Yarra Valley vineyards. Having honed my craft working in wineries in South Australia and Western Victoria for ten years, I moved to the Yarra Valley in 2000 and fell in love with the region I now call home.
Using delicious fruit from a number of well-established, high-performing vineyards around the Yarra Valley, I have the flexibility to perfect my wines and produce varieties I am particularly proud of.
My wine journey has taken me from large family-owned wineries like Wirra Wirra in McLaren Vale, to the iconic Seppelt in the Grampians, and to ground-breaking newcomers like Punt Road Wines in the Yarra Valley.
I have also been fortunate enough to have consulted to an array of exceptional wine producers across Australia and have had pivotal career experiences participating in vintages in France, Spain and the United States.
As you get to know me and my wine, you will also learn a bit more about my life in the Yarra Valley, my family and the pleasure I get from bringing my passion to life, partnering wine with food and sharing it with wonderful company.
